Joseph J.M Lombino. Mr. Lombino is co-founder and managing partner of the law firm LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO. In addition to his admittance to several Federal Courts, Mr. Lombino is admitted to the Bar in Washington, California, Oregon and Alaska where his practice consists of Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family Law and Mediation. Mr. Lombino is also a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association where he twice served as Trustee. Mr. Lombino received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Lombino has served as Superior Court Commissioner and Judge Pro Tempore since 1987 and is a former Adjunct Instructor at Pierce College. Mr. Lombino and has been a guest speaker at various continuing legal education seminars in the State of Washington and has served as a volunteer Judge for Mock Trial Competitions for the YMCA and the Seattle University School of Law. Mr. Lombino has diligently served the needs of his clients for over 35 years and is recognized as “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, signifying excellence at the highest level of his profession. Mr. Lombino is a Fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America and is distinguished as a Washington Super Lawyer by Super Lawyer’s Magazine.

Randall S. Martino is co-founder and a partner of LOMBINO · MARTINO. Mr. Martino and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1995 and is also admitted to the Alaska and Nevada State Bar Associations. Since 1998, Mr. Martino has been exclusively involved in providing legal service to members of LegalShield (formerly Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc.) and during that time, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire LegalShield operation.
Mr. Martino began as a staff attorney and quickly advanced to the rank of supervising attorney overseeing the LegalShield division. During this time, he has regularly received recognition from members and awards from LegalShield for excellence in customer service. The awards Mr. Martino has received either individually or on behalf of the group of attorneys he has led, include The Members Choice Award 2001, The Leadership Award 2002-2004, The Pride Award 2002 and The Growth Award 2003.
In 2004, and again in 2008, Mr. Lombino and Mr. Martino led their team of lawyers and staff to the pinnacle of success within the LegalShield network – the receipt of The Award of Excellence, presented to the top LegalShield Provider Law Firm throughout United States and Canada.

Sandy Kindig Adams received her Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from the University of Puget Sound in 1978 and graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University) in 1981. Following graduation from law school, Mrs. Adams practiced law in the private sector with an emphasis in Family Law, Juvenile Law, Adoptions and Guardianships. She has served as a board member for the Puget Sound Legal Assistance Foundation, Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, and Washington Women Lawyers. Mrs. Adams has been with LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO since the law firm’s inception where her primary focus is on Family Law.
Ms. Jessica A. Jozefowicz attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2000. In 2004, Ms. Jozefowicz graduated Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law. After graduation, Ms. Jozefowicz practiced law in the private sector in various areas of law, including Collections, Employment, and Probate and joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO in 2009 where she has worked primarily in the areas of Collections, Consumer/Finance, Employment Law, and Estate Planning. Ms. Jozefowicz is licensed in both Washington State and in Federal Court for the Western District of Washington.
Deanna Durall-Payton received her Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Washington University in 1986 and graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University) in 1990. Following graduation from law school, Mrs. Durall-Payton practiced law in the private sector with an emphasis in Family Law and Bankruptcy. She has served as a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association and the Tacoma-Pierce County Young Lawyer’s Section. Mrs. Durall-Payton has been with LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO since the law firm’s inception where her primary focus is on Family Law.
Leann Paluck received her Bachelor of Science Cum Laude from the University of Puget Sound in 1992, graduated from the Seattle University School of Law Cum Laude in 1995, and received her LLM (Master of Laws) in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law in 2001. Following graduation from law school, Ms. Paluck practiced law in the private sector with an emphasis in Labor Law, Family Law, Estate Planning, and Probate with Lowenberg, Lopez & Hansen, P.S., which eventually became Lopez & Paluck, P.S. Ms. Paluck has been in in practice since December 1995 and joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO in August 2014. LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO is proud to have Ms. Paluck as part of our team, where her focus is primarily on Family Law.
LARRY S. SPOKOINY graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law, 1984. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Spokoiny also holds an Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Spokoiny is a two-time Member’s Choice Award winner through LegalShield, Inc. He is member of both the Washington and California state Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in Washington and California. Prior to joining LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO, Mr. Spokoiny spent 13 years in dual business/legal executive roles at two corporations, where he managed up to 85 employees. He has an extensive technology background and taught programming at USC. Mr. Spokoiny has also worked as a software test engineer at Microsoft, and supervised a portfolio of Internet-based financial ASP products at NVST.
Mr. Spokoiny’s practice is limited to primarily Personal Injury, Trademarks and Business Law.
Mr. Joseph M. Woodland received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982 and graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University) in 1985. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Woodland practiced law in the private sector and then as Public Defender in Mason County, Washington. Mr. Woodland joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO in 2006, where his primary focus is on Family Law, Criminal Law, Juvenile Law, Collections Law and Consumer/Finance. Mr. Woodland has been the recipient of several awards from Prepaid Legal Services, Inc. (now LegalShield) for his contributions and legal services rendered to members of LegalShield.
Ms. Howe earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and her Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1991. Ms. Howe’s practice of law centers around personal family concerns and questions of our LegalShield members, with an emphasis on Employment, Disability, Social Security, Worker’s Compensation, and Education law. Ms. Howe has a special interest in the needs and welfare of children and was appointed as a Parenting Investigator/Guardian Ad Litem for over 6 years, A Disciplinary Hearing Officer for a local School District for 5 years, served on a Middle School Leadership Team, and served as Little League President and Board member for five years.
Sally A. Hiserman graduated the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1993 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1994. Ms. Hiserman practiced in a small law firm in Everett, Washington from 1995 until 2008. Ms. Hiserman has been with LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO since 2009 specializing in real estate law. Ms. Hiserman has worked with builders, developers, lenders and individuals in every aspect of buying, developing, financing and selling property for 17 years. Her time at LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO has expanded on her initial interests of transactional and contract law to include a wide array of real estate law topics. She has used her extensive knowledge of lending practices and finance to assist clients with current issues of foreclosure, loan modification, short sales and refinance.
Ms. Hiserman also enjoys volunteering with several organizations that cater to her love of the outdoors and maintaining the environment including the Washington Trails Association, Master Gardner Foundation, and Kruckeburg Botanical Gardens. When not working you may find her on a mountain trail or gardening in her own back yard.
Mr. Aaron A. Jennings graduated from the Evergreen State College in 1995 with an emphasis in Environmental Studies. Between undergraduate and law school Mr. Jennings spent a year with the AmeriCorps, National Civil Community Corps at the Southeast campus based in Charleston, South Carolina. After completing his term with the AmeriCorps, Mr. Jennings went on to law school at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College where he graduated Cum Laude in 2000. During his final year of law school Mr. Jennings clerked for the Bonneville Power Administration. After graduating from law school Mr. Jennings spent a term as session counsel with the Washington State Senate and then served as a law clerk with the Kitsap County Superior Court prior to moving on to private practice. Mr. Jennings joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO in 2006, where his primary focus is on Probate, Estate Planning, Trusts and Elder Law. Mr. Jennings has been the recipient of several awards from Pre-paid Legal Services, Inc. (now LegalShield) for his contributions and legal services rendered to members of Legal Shield.
Mr. Schmidt received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1994, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, in 2000. While in law school, Mr. Schmidt was a member of the Florida Law Review and placed first in the Dean Frank E. Maloney Memorial Writing Contest. Mr. Schmidt was published in the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law.
Mr. Schmidt was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2002 and has been with LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO since 2005. Mr. Schmidt is a member of the law firm’s Traffic Department and assists LegalShield members throughout the State of Washington with their driving issues. Mr. Schmidt is also an expert in Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements and does the drafting and review of these agreements at our law firm.
James (“Jay”) Burnett completed his BA in Humanities at Colorado State University in 1977 and entered the US Army. Following his military service, Jay worked as a librarian, earning Masters degrees in librarianship (1982) and public administration (1990) before graduating from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1993. His law practice since that time has included criminal defense, bankruptcy, family law, and landlord-tenant matters. In addition to his legal practice, Jay serves as the JAG officer (Captain) for the Washington State National Guard. An Eagle Scout, Jay was the 1996 Family Law Attorney of the Year for Spokane County, WA, and has received the Washington National Guard Commendation Medal and Distinguished Achievement Medal.
Mr. Piza practiced in public accounting for 10 years before entering law school. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Piza obtained his Masters of Laws degree’s (aka “LLM. Degrees”) in Taxation and Intellectual Property. Mr. Piza has a well-rounded expertise in business matters including Tax Collections, Bankruptcy, Corporations and Partnerships, Intellectual Property matters, and Startup Ventures. Mr. Piza has represented clients in both state and federal courts including Tax Court, bankruptcy court, and the Washington state Court of Appeals.
Mr. John J. Barry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1990 and his Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University. Mr. Barry has an established practice focused on real estate litigation, including the representation of Landlords and Tenants. Mr. Barry has also contributed his time to assisting low income tenants at the King County Housing project. Mr. Barry joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO, in 2005 where he continues to counsel and assist those who are dealing with real estate issues. Whether it be Landlord Tenant matters to easement issues, from advice as to purchase and sale of real estate to helping resolve issues involving property line disputes, Mr. Barry is available to help.
Mr. Barry is also an avid amateur naturalist. His contributions to science include photographs of certain insect species that have never before been photographed alive.
Adam Williams received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Washington State University in 2003 and graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2013. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Williams served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Georgia where he taught English in a rural village. After his service in the Peace Corps, Mr. Williams worked at the Chungdahm Institute in South Korea where he taught English to elementary and middle-school students, promoting critical thinking and increasing their English proficiency. Mr. Williams’ travels next took him to Australia where he worked as a Legal Intern at the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre where he interviewed and corresponded with refugees to determine the merits of their asylum applications. Mr. Williams also worked as an Intern at the Seattle University International Human Rights Clinic. He also served as a Legal Advocate at Solid Ground where he advocated on behalf of low income people in need of assistance. Since becoming an attorney, Mr. Williams has worked in various areas of the law including business, contracts, debt collection, real estate, landlord/tenant, property, trade secrets, anti-harassment, administrative hearings, small estates, creditor claims, and probate. Mr. Williams joined LOMBINO • MARTINO in July of 2017 where he primarily handles contracts, property, collections, and probate matters.
Mr. Joseph M. Lombino is a graduate from the University of Washington and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the United States District Court – Western District of Washington. Following graduation from college, Mr. Lombino began working at LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO as a Law Clerk and ultimately made the choice to become an attorney. Mr. Lombino was accepted to the Law Clerk Program through the Washington State Bar Association; a program designed to provide theoretical, scholastic, and clinical experience through a combination of work and study with an experienced lawyer. With his father as his mentor, Mr. Lombino successfully completed all the requirements of the Law Clerk Program and sat for, and passed, the Washington Bar Examination in 2017.
In addition to being a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the United States District Court, Mr. Lombino is also a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Lombino’s practice is focused on helping those who have suffered personal injuries through the negligence of others.
Ms. Ault-Sayan graduated cum laude from Central Washington State University with a degree in Business Economics before she went on to Seattle University School of Law where she attained her Juris Doctor degree. After being admitted to the Washington Statte Bar in 1990, Ms. Ault-Sayan began her practice in insurance defense. In the late 1990’s, she ventured to Alaska where, upon passing the Alaska State Bar, she began practicing family law and providing free and low cost dissolutions to victims of domestic violence. She returned to Washington in the early 2000’s. She resumed her practice in Family Law and continues to focus on that area of law today. Ms. Ault-Sayan has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Pierce County Superior Court.
Ms. Ault-Sayan’s continued legal training has included a week long seminar in June 2014 at the Advanced Trial Advocacy Institute provided by Seattle University School of Law, a week long course in 2001 in Basic Mediation training, sponsored by the King County Bar Association and a Graduate Certificate in e-Discovery Project Management from Bryan University in 2014.
Brian Holden received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 2014 and graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2017. Mr. Holden is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association as well as the Idaho State Bar. Prior to joining LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO, Mr. Holden practiced law in the private sector, focusing mainly on family law matters. Mr. Holden has also contributed his time to assisting low-income individuals dealing with family law matters through his volunteer work in Pierce County. Mr. Holden joined LOMBINO ∙ MARTINO in 2021, where his primary focus is on Family Law, Adoption, and Landlord Tenant.
